high prevalence of Mortellaro disease among cattle, which leads to premature culling of animals. The study focuses on the effect of ozone therapy on the activity of antioxidant enzymes in this disease. The aim of the study is to evaluate the effect of complex therapy using an ozone-air mixture on the activity of antioxidant enzymes in cattle with Mortellaro disease. The study was conducted on 20 Holstein-Friesian cows divided into two equal groups. The control group of animals received traditional antibiotic therapy (oxytetracycline), while the experimental group received additional daily local baths with an ozone-air mixture (concentration of 60 mg/m³, for 5 days). The serum was used to determine the activity of catalase, peroxidase, glutathione peroxidase, and the level of reduced glutathione. It was found that the inclusion of ozone therapy significantly accelerated the recovery of the antioxidant system. By the 14th day of treatment, the activity of catalase and glutathione in the experimental group reached the values of healthy animals (94% and 92% of the norm, respectively), while the control group still showed signs of oxidative stress. The use of ozone-air baths in combination with antibiotics increases the effectiveness of treating Mortellaro's disease by correcting oxidative stress and stimulating antioxidant protection.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Актуальность исследования обусловлена высокой распространенностью болезни Мортелларо среди крупного рогатого скота, приводящей к преждевременной выбраковке животных. Работа посвящена изучению влияния озонотерапии на активность ферментов антиоксидантной защиты при данном заболевании. Цель исследования — оценить влияние комплексной терапии с применением озоно-воздушной смеси на активность ферментов антиоксидантной защиты у крупного рогатого скота при болезни Мортелларо. Исследования проводились на 20 коровах голштино-фризской породы, разделенных на две равные группы. Животные контрольной группы получали традиционную антибиотикотерапию (окситетрациклин), опытной — дополнительно ежедневные местные ванны с озоно-воздушной смесью (концентрация 60 мг/м³, 5 дней). В сыворотке крови определяли активность каталазы, пероксидазы, глутатионпероксидазы и уровень восстановленного глутатиона. Установлено, что включение озонотерапии способствует достоверно более быстрому восстановлению показателей антиоксидантной системы. К 14-м суткам лечения у животных опытной группы активность каталазы и глутатиона достигла значений здоровых животных (94% и 92% от нормы соответственно), тогда как в контрольной группе сохранялись признаки окислительного стресса.
